Woohoo — finally here.

Thirty-three thousand words and one life goal are behind me. Sometime (hopefully) before Christmas “Wicked Akron: Tales of Rumrunners, Mobsters and other Rubber City Rogues” will be out in local bookstores and available on Amazon. I am oddly jazzed by the fact that I now have a Library of Congress number!

Here’s the cover — I’ve been trying to post it for days! Some ghost in the machine.

One of the things I wanted to do with my year-long sabbatical from journalism was to find out whether I could write, research and create on a deadline without the structure of a big building with printing presses — kind of independent study for (semi)adults.

I also spent some time doing other types of business writing. At the end of the day I find that I’ve got another book or two in me, but I’m still a journalist. More on that later.

As Sundance said to Butch on his way off the cliff, “Oh sh……..!”

Every new chapter of life needs a good expletive.

Well, i will not bore your readers with any of the old run of the mill sayings, such as; wow, you’re my hero, or oh my god i am so proud of you, or my favorite, “i’m the lucky one because you’re my sister!” and you have a library of congress number. Kim, i am so proud of you, and i love you so much! God Bless you, honey!
    Love, Rick

I think the art work is similar to the Dick Tracy comic strip style. COOL!!!
