Hello. I’m Kymberli Hagelberg, a writer and editor based in Greensboro, North Carolina. On these pages you can see and hear some of my work, read recommendations from clients and colleagues and check out my blog.

Over the years, I have worked in newspapers, public radio, digital media and corporate and issue advocacy communications. In every discipline, I’m connected, respected and I hit deadlines with well-sourced, engaging content.

My work has appeared in major dailies, alternative news weeklies, on National Public Radio and the Web. I currently supervise a staff of a dozen writers and  photographers at the Greensboro News & Record web site www.news-record.com.  I plan editorial content, develop and implement social media and user engagement strategies as well as edit and produce print and web copy, audio and video submissions.

As a freelancer, my  multimedia investigation of a fugitive financier was read and heard by more than 1 million people in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and on Cleveland.com and this year was the subject of a segment of the CNBC program American Greed, “Main Street Double Cross.”

I have two books, Wicked Akron, Tales of Rumrunners, Mobsters and other Rubber City Rogues was released in 2011 by History Press a book on the Akron Marathon, “A Blue Line Runs Through Us,” was released in 2012.
